Austin Hill Returns to NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Pocono with Spire Motorsports

Austin Hill will join Spire Motorsports for the upcoming NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Pocono Raceway, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado.

Austin Hill, a five-time winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Saturday’s CRC Brakleen 150 at Pocono Raceway, partnering once again with Spire Motorsports.

For the second straight season, the Winston, Georgia-native will get behind the wheel of the No. 7 ARCO Design / Build Chevrolet Silverado, revisiting the site of his most recent start in the NASCAR Truck Series, where he netted a sixth-place finish.

“I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the No. 7 ARCO Design / Build Silverado at Pocono,” said Hill. “Last year with practice and qualifying getting rained out, we had to start in the back, but the Spire Motorsports team brought a fast truck, and we were able to get a [sixth-place] finish. I’ve had success and a chance to win in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series at Pocono in the past, so I feel confident that we will have a shot to contend for the win.”

Hill, who currently sits second-place in NASCAR Xfinity Series points for Richard Childress Racing, is the fifth different driver to get behind the wheel of the entry this season, a star-studded list that includes Kyle Larson, Jonathan Davenport, Marco Andretti, and Corey LaJoie.

The organization’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program is led by championship-winning industry veterans Mike Greci and Kevin “Bono” Manion.

“Spire Motorsports is thrilled to have a driver of Austin’s caliber behind the wheel this weekend at Pocono Raceway,” said Mike Greci. “It’s no secret that Austin and I have some history together, so I know, firsthand, what kind of talent he is. His Xfinity Series results this season speak for themselves. I’m confident anytime Austin is in our truck, we’re fully capable of running up front and winning races.”
