Corey LaJoie lost the handle on his No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet in qualifying for Sunday’s Ally 400 at Nashville. LaJoie spun and tapped the outside wall.

Corey LaJoie had a decent lap going in Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series qualifying session for Sunday’s Ally 400, but as the driver of the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 reached Turns 3 and 4, things came undone.

LaJoie lost control on a day where the 1.333-mile speedway in Lebanon, Tennessee has been very slick and treacherous. The right rear of the No. 7 machine would slap the wall, and LaJoie would go spinning through the infield grass.

Here is a video of the incident that LaJoie suffered in qualifying:

LaJoie would not be able to finish his lap, and will start at the rear of the field in Sunday’s Ally 400 as a result.
