Hailie Deegan Lawless Alan Nashville crash video Jack Wood 2023
Hailie Deegan got loose while attempting to pass Lawless Alan on the low side of the track in Turns 3 and 4 on Lap 5 at Nashville.

Hailie Deegan started Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway from the 20th position, and the hope was for a drama-free and decent run. Those hopes faded on Lap 5 of the race, when Deegan lost the handle on her No. 13 ThorSport Racing truck.

Deegan, who was running below Lawless Alan for position, slipped up and made big contact with Lawless Alan in Turns 3 and 4. The contact sent both drivers spinning.

Deegan backed her No. 13 Ford F-150 into the outside wall, while Alan’s truck veered right toward the outside wall. Jack Wood, who was attempting to get by the crash, had nowhere to go and was collected by Alan as well.

Here is a video of the crash:

All three drivers would be able to remain on the track, but on the next restart, Alan’s truck suffered more issues, which led to the end of his race. As it stands, Wood sits a lap down in 34th, while Deegan is two laps down in 35th.
