Let’s play an adult version of that popular kid’s interactive video song series on YouTube from Super Simple Songs… Do you like racing? Yes, I do! Do you like whiskey? Yes, I do! Do you like racing and whiskey? Yes, I do! Yum!

While the kid’s version of this exercise typically pairs two things that don’t go together to illicit a feeling of disgust, SS Green Light Racing announced a new primary sponsorship for Stefan Parsons and the No. 07 team for next weekend’s event at Nashville Superspeedway and the partnership couldn’t be any more perfect!

Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery will showcase the Tennessee Whiskey brand on the SS Green Light No. 07 Chevrolet Camaro for the race.

Considering NASCAR was literally born during the prohibition, and became a thing as bootleggers transported liquor, like moonshine and whiskey, to rural areas in the Southeast, it’s a match made in heaven.

“Given our industries intertwining histories for nearly 90 years, a partnership with Stefan felt like a natural fit, ” said Andy Nelson, co-founder of Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery in a team release. “He has an obvious and contagious passion for his craft, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know him and his story. We can’t wait to watch Stefan race the 07 Green Brier Chevy at Nashville Superspeedway on June 24th.”

Parsons, who comes from a family steeped in NASCAR history, the new partnership is one that aligns with him personally, as he finds himself to be a connoisseur of whiskey.

“As a whiskey enthusiast, I was immediately drawn to the tale of the Nelsons,” said Parsons. “The significance of familial bonds within a career resonated with me, and the shared history between our two families is something I genuinely appreciate. It’s an honor to sport the beloved whiskey brand on my car and suit for this race.”

Catch the No. 07 Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey Chevrolet Camaro in the Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday, June 24th. The race will be televised on USA Network beginning at 3:30 PM ET.
