Martin Truex Jr.’s race-winning No. 19 Bass Pro Shops Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry has cleared post-race inspection following Monday’s NASCAR Cup Series Wurth 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. As a result, the 42-year-old racer has officially snapped a 54-race winless drought, which dated back to September 2021.
The win for Truex marks the 32nd of his illustrious NASCAR Cup Series career, and the New Jersey native has now won in seven of the last eight seasons in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Truex emerged victorious after a fierce battle with Ross Chastain in the closing laps and Ryan Blaney on the race’s final restart. Truex first took the lead of the race on lap 332, and he led a total of 68 laps on the path to the win.
No issues were detected in post-race inspection, which means all results and standings following Monday’s race are now considered official.
Chastain is the official runner-up finisher in Monday’s race, while Ryan Blaney, William Byron, and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top-five finishers in the event.
