If sponsors were Pokemon, Ryan Ellis would be knee-deep in catching them all. On Thursday, Alpha Prime Racing announced that the driver of the team’s No. 43 Chevrolet Camaro has landed Classic Collision as a primary sponsor for the upcoming event at Atlanta Motor Speedway on July 8th.

While Ellis has had a ton of special sponsorship partnerships throughout the opening portion of the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, the 33-year-old racer states that he is especially excited to mix it up with Classic Collision on the hood of his race car.

“I’ve been really excited about the potential of this program since the day I started speaking with Classic Collision,” said Ellis in an Alpha Prime Racing team release. “We’ve got a great family of automobile-focused sponsors like CorvetteParts.net/ Keen Parts, Costa Oil, and a few other really exciting partners we have yet to announce, and this could not be a better fit to join that family.

“I plan on getting my personal vehicle fixed up by Classic Collision as soon as possible, and anyone that saw the last Atlanta Xfinity race knows it is hard to imagine a better race for them to sponsor than this. I hope we can avoid the chaos with the Classic Collision No.43 and bring home a great result for them in their first race.”

While the native of Torrance, California had a rocky start to the season, the journeyman racer has really found his footing in the last few races.

At Talladega Superspeedway this past weekend, Ellis scored his career-best finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with a solid 11th-place showing in the No. 45 Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers Chevrolet Camaro.

Classic Collision actually made its debut on Ellis’ car at Talladega Superspeedway this past weekend in an associate sponsorship role. The company will return to Ellis’ car as an associate sponsor again at Texas Motor Speedway in September.

Overall, Ellis has two top-15 finishes and three top-20s over his last four starts. The solid run of races has Ellis up to 24th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship standings.

The jump to 24th in the standings is an 11-position leap from where Ellis stood after the third race of the season — Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
