I don’t quite understand how, but William Sawalich was able to keep his No. 1 TRICON Garage Toyota Tundra in one piece near the end of Friday night’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Long John Silver’s 200 at Martinsville Speedway.
Sawalich was locked in a battle with Carson Hocevar, when Hocevar made contact with Sawalich, which nearly wiped out the 16-year-old racer. But Sawalich hung in there, and was able to make a miraculous save.
Here is a video replay of Sawalich showcasing his impressive driving skills:

Hocevar would go on to be involved in another incident later in the event, one which would result in him being parked by NASCAR for two laps after the sanctioning body determined that Hocevar intentionally drove his truck into the right rear of Taylor Gray’s truck.
