Derek Kraus, who lost his full-time ride in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series heading into this year, will advance into the NASCAR Xfinity Series in two weeks time at Richmond Raceway.

The Stratford, Wisconsin-native will join forces with Kaulig Racing to pilot the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro in the Toyota Care 250, the first of four consecutive Dash4Cash events in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

From 2020 to 2022, Kraus competed full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, bringing home four top-five and 26 top-10 results in the No. 19 entry. Entering this season, Kraus was replaced by Christian Eckes.

Most recently, Kraus competed in a one-off for Young’s Motorsports, where he piloted the No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado to a finish inside the top-20.

Practice and qualifying at Richmond Raceway will mark the first time that the 21-year-old driver has climbed aboard a NASCAR Xfinity Series entry, as he looks to start his venture into the second-tier series with success.

Kraus joins an all-star cast of drivers to pilot the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro, which so far this season has included Justin Haley, Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, and AJ Allmendinger. Entering this weekend’s race at COTA, the No. 10 has yet to finish outside the top-10.
