Phoenix late race crash NASCAR Xfinity Series Justin Allgaier 2023
Justin Allgaier saw his day come to an early end in a late-race crash at Phoenix.

It was an unfortunate end to Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series United Rentals 200 at Phoenix Raceway for Justin Allgaier, who had swept Stages 1 and 2 earlier in the race.

With 20 laps left in the race, Allgaier took a shove from his JR Motorsports teammate Brandon Jones, which sent him up the hill. As Allgaier attempted to get back in line, all hell broke loose.

Kaz Grala, who was in the middle of a three-wide battle, had nowhere to go and piled into Allgaier, which sent them both hard into the wall.

Here is a video of the crash courtesy of FS1:

In all, there were eight cars involved in this melee.

The drivers involved were Allgaier, Grala, Jones, John Hunter Nemechek, Brett Moffitt, Parker Retzlaff, Ryan Sieg and Ryan Ellis.
