Daniel Hemric Crash Blaine Perkins Crash NASCAR Xfinity Series Crash NASCAR Daytona Crash
Blaine Perkins and Daniel Hemric are out of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Daytona, after a crash in the opening stages of the 120-lap contest.

Daniel Hemric, one of the favorites for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona, is already done for the evening after being collected in a multi-car accident at the two-thirds mark of the race’s first stage.

The accident happened when Sam Mayer got into the left-rear corner of Blaine Perkins, driving the No. 07 for SS Green Light Racing, turning him down the track and into Hemric’s Kaulig Racing Chevrolet Camaro.

Hemric, a champion of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, sustained heavy damage to the right side of his vehicle, while Perkins impacted the inside wall with significant force, causing both drivers to retire.

The No. 11 and No. 07 will join Bayley Currey in the garage throughout the early portion of Saturday’s event after the JD Motorsports driver suffered an engine issue on the eighth lap of Saturday’s 120-lap contest.
