A number of NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff contenders are out of Saturday’s Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 at Texas, after a massive nine-car accident in the final stage triggered by hr leaders of the race.

We aren’t even through the first race of the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs and things have already been thrown for a massive loop, through the usual second-half chaos of an event in the second-tier division.

This time around, it was a massive nine-car pileup on a restart in the race’s final stage, that happened when a three-wide move entering turn one, turned into a four-wide move, and eventually an accident.

However, the chaos began when John Hunter Nemechek spun around on the top of three-wide, coming down the track and collecting Justin Allgaier, Brandon Jones, and several other drivers behind, including many in the Playoffs.

Involved in the accident were John Hunter Nemechek (18), Justin Allgaier (7), Brandon Jones (19), Daniel Hemric (11), Brennan Poole (6), Joe Graf Jr. (07), Mason Massey (91), Josh Williams (36) and Kyle Weatherman (34).

Of the drivers involved in the crash, only Joe Graf, and Kyle Weatherman were able to return to the race, while all seven of the others involved in the crash have retired from the event.
