Ryan Blaney crash Pocono 2022
Ryan Blaney took a hard impact to the pit road wall after he lost control of his No. 12 car on lap 134 of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup race at Pocono Raceway.

Ryan Blaney had been having a decent day at Pocono Raceway, until he had a tire cut down under green in the final Stage of Sunday’s race. However, things officially came to an end for Blaney on lap 134, when he lost control off of turn 3 and pummeled the pit road wall.

Here is the crash that ended Blaney’s day:

Blaney was able to walk away from the crash, but this latest incident puts Blaney’s Playoff hopes in a very precarious position.

Heading into the day, Blaney had the next to last seed in the Playoff Grid, and with 14 winners already this season, if Blaney — who is winless — wants to get into the Playoffs on points, he will have to stop these kinds of days.

But it’ll all be a moot point if two more drivers win before the Playoffs begin.
