Felix Rosenqvist started the Detroit Grand Prix weekend with a single car incident in the first 20 minutes of the first practice session.

It was early days for the 30-year-old Swede as he was only on his second lap of the practice. Entering Turn 1, the No. 7 Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet slid off the racing line and made double contact into the tire barriers.

“I just got loose on entry,” Rosenqvist said, via Peacock. “I thought I saved it, kind of got loose again and just too much speed. It was my mistake nothing really to blame in that situation.”

AMSP will repair Rosenqvist’s car as second practice and qualifying are up next on Saturday.
