Anthony Alfredo and Our Motorsports will lead the field to the green for the first time in their respective tenures in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in Saturday’s Pacific Office Automation 147 at Portland International Raceway.

Alfredo, who posted the fastest time in the session’s first round, was the primary benefactor of NASCAR’s decision that the surface was too slick to continue on dry tires, therefore canceling the second round of qualifying.

Austin Hill will start alongside Alfredo for Saturday’s 75-lap contest, with Daniel Hemric, Sam Mayer, and Jade Buford rounding out the top five. Ty Gibbs, Sheldon Creed, Connor Mosack, Justin Allgaier, and AJ Allmendinger were determined as top-10.

Per the NASCAR Rule Book: “If one or both groups are unable to complete the second round due to weather or other circumstances, only speeds posted in the first round by the top 5 fastest vehicles in each group will be used to determine the starting line up positions in descending order (fastest to slowest) for positions 1st-10th.”

Other notables include Noah Gragson (11th), Landon Cassill (13th), Riley Herbst (14th), Josh Berry (19th), Brandon Jones (22nd), and Ryan Sieg (27th).

Andy Lally (15th), Matt Jaskol (17th), Parker Chase (18th), Scott Heckert (20th), and Spencer Pumpelly (24th) were among the road course specialists to record solid qualifying efforts.

Jesse Iwuji – who clocked in nearly 14 seconds off the pace in qualifying — was the slowest entry in group qualifying on Friday, and will start 38th, with no drivers failing to qualify.
