It’s been 12 years since anyone in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series had won three consecutive pole positions, with Austin Dillon winning poles at Texas, Michigan, and Iowa in 2010.

However, John Hunter Nemechek has found a way to do exactly that, securing his third consecutive pole at Texas Motor Speedway, and his fourth of the 2022 season for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

The Mooresville, North Carolina-native posted a time of 29.612 seconds (182.359mph) in Friday’s single-truck qualifying session to take the pole position, over teammate Corey Heim, who came just short of the pole at Kansas last weekend, as well.

Stewart Friesen will start Friday night’s race from Texas in third place, with Christian Eckes and Ryan Preece rounding out the top-five.

Hailie Deegan, who will start Friday’s event from sixth, secured her best starting spot in a non-heat race setting. Chandler Smith, Ben Rhodes, Derek Kraus, and Ty Majeski rounded out the top-10 starters.

Other notables include: Grant Enfinger (11th), Ross Chastain (14th), Zane Smith (15th), Tyler Ankrum (18th), Carson Hocevar (20th), Matt Crafton (21st), and Todd Bodine (24th).

Garrett Smithley – No. 20 — and Armani Williams – No. 43 — failed to qualify for Friday’s SpeedyCash.com 220 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Matt DiBenedetto, Colby Howard, Lawless Alan, Chris Hacker, and Armani Williams all failed to take time in Friday’s single-truck qualifying session. Both Howard (91) and Hacker (33) were involved in single-truck accidents throughout NASCAR’s new practice-qualifying process.
