Kyle Busch started from the Pole in the Heat 1 qualifier for the Busch Light Clash at the LA Memorial Coliseum, and he dominated the 25-lap race to score the win. By virtue of taking the win in Heat 1, Busch will start from the pole in Saturday night’s 23-car Main Event Busch Light Clash.

Daniel Suarez finished second in Heat 1, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was third and Ryan Blaney prevailed in a hard-fought battle with Denny Hamlin for the final transfer spot.

Blaney and Hamlin made contact numerous times, and Blaney got by Hamlin for the spot in the final few circuits of the Heat.

Hamlin, Ross Chastain, Todd Gilliland, Aric Almirola and BJ McLeod will have to race their way into the big show from the Last Chance Qualifier.
