Qualifying Days For Chili Bowl Nationals Set, When Will NASCAR Stars be in Action?

On Monday, the Chili Bowl Nationals released the lineups for qualifying days for the 36th-annual edition of the iconic dirt race.

Of the 380 entries (as of January 2, 2022), many of the names mixing it up are from the world of NASCAR.

On Monday, January 10th, Alex Bowman, Chase Briscoe and 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott are the names that will mix it up in qualifying.

ARCA Menards Series West champion Jesse Love will also qualify on Monday.

2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, and the winner of the last two Chili Bowl Nationals, Kyle Larson will join Jesse Little and Santino Ferrucci as NASCAR drivers who will qualify on Tuesday, January 11th.

Carson Hocevar and Tanner Berryhill will be the drivers represented from NASCAR on Wednesday, January 12th.

While JJ Yeley, who will attempt the Chili Bowl Nationals for the 27th time, and Christopher Bell, who won the event three consecutive years (2017-2019) will qualify on Thursday, January 13th.

Finally, on Friday, January 14th, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ryan Newman and Ryan Ellis will take to the track for qualifying.

Following qualifying between Monday, January 10th and Friday, January 14th, the Lucas Oil Championship Feature Events are slated to commence on Saturday, January 15. Those features will culminate in the crowning of the 2022 Chili Bowl Nationals Champion.
