RPM Sells Majority Interest To GMS Racing, Two Charters To Be Operated

GMS Racing has secured majority ownership of Richard Petty Motorsports and their highly coveted two team charters.

A long-rumored silly season move finally has come to fruition as Richard Petty Motorsports has agreed to sell a majority interest to GMS Racing, and Maury Gallagher, owner of the operation.

The announcement came Wednesday evening.

Included in the agreement are two charters that will be in operation for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.

GMS Racing has long-rumored to have acquired at least one charter for the No. 94 Camaro for Ty Dillon.

Additional details regarding the agreement are to be shared at the NASCAR Hall of Fame on Tuesday, December 7th at 3 p.m. ET.
