Missing Carl Edwards yet?
Following a clutch victory in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series finale at Phoenix Raceway, Daniel Hemric celebrated his first NASCAR victory, and first NASCAR championship with a backflip, the 30-year-old’s traditional celebration method, mirroring that of former Gibbs driver Carl Edwards.
The backflip @DanielHemric has been waiting to do for a long time!

Hemric’s backflip was spectacular and took place at the start-finish line at Phoenix Raceway. Considering it’s been a while since he’s gotten to do one, the form was pretty impressive, although based on some photographs it didn’t look like everyone was convicted he’d stick the landing.

The victory for the No. 18 team came in a last-lap last-ditch effort to make a pass on defending series champion Austin Cindric, one that got his orange Toyota Supra to the start-finish line first, 0.030 seconds ahead of the No. 22 Ford Mustang.
