NASCAR Xfinity Series part-timer, Josh Berry, will replace Michael Annett in Saturday’s Ambetter Get Vaccinated 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, JR Motorsports announced on Monday Afternoon.

Annett has been determined to be unable to race on Saturday, after an MRI revealed a stress fracture in the Des Moines, Iowa-driver’s right femur.

Following Saturday’s Ambetter Get Vaccinated 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the series has a two-week break because of NBC’s coverage of the Tokyo Olympics, which should be an adequate amount of time for Annett’s injury to heal.

JR Motorsports has requested a medical waiver for Annett, who narrowly sits above the cutline for the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs.

The long-tenured Xfinity Series driver was forced to miss both Friday’s Corn Belt 150 at Knoxville Raceway and Saturday’s Credit Karma Money 250 at Altanta Motor Speedway due to the injury.
