2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion Austin Cindric led the one and only practice session for Saturday Afternoon’s Henry 180 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Road America on Friday Afternoon, placing his No. 22 Richmond Water Heaters | Menards Ford Mustang at the top of the charts with a time of 135.096 seconds | 107.869mph.

Finishing second-place in the session was Kaulig Racing’s Jeb Burton, who put down a time almost a full second slower than that of Cindric’s Team Penske Mustang. Justin Allgaier, AJ Allmendinger and Daniel Hemric rounded out the top-five in the session.

Ty Gibbs – driving a fifth Joe Gibbs Racing entry this weekend — was sixth-place in practice, with Kyle Busch, Justin Haley, Alex Labbé and Jeremy Clements rounding out the top-10.

The 50-minute session was action-packed, featuring five stoppages for varying reasons, as well as many incidents that didn’t draw a red flag. Riley Herbst, Bayley Currey, Sam Mayer, Noah Gragson and Kris Wright were among those involved in incidents in the session.

With qualifying scheduled for Saturday Morning at Road America, the top-31 in speeds is a crucial talking point to be followed, as seven cars will fail to qualify for the Henry 180.

Jeffrey Earnhardt (No. 0), Stephen Leicht (No. 13), Colby Howard (No. 15), Timmy Hill (No. 42), Gray Gaulding (No. 52), Bayley Currey (No. 74) and Josh Williams (No. 92) would be the seven cars that failed to qualify, with Natalie Decker taking the last spot by provisional in the field.
