On Saturday Afternoon, Reaume Brothers Racing announced via social media that the organization’s Lead Fabricator, Matthew Wolper, suffered a major heart attack on Friday Afternoon during the opening practice session for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The 55-year-old was immediately transferred from the infield care center to a local Bristol-area hospital, where he has since undergone a successful heart surgery. Wolper is currently resting and recovering at the hospital.

In their social media post, the team said: “Matt, we want to wish you a speedy recovery – you are in all of our hearts and prayers. We will be racing for you when we fire the engines. Stay strong and keep being the trooper that you are.”
