Kanagawa, Japan’s Akinori Ogata will return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2021, with Reaume Brothers Racing in a limited capacity.

Ogata confirmed the news via social media Monday afternoon. He is expected to drive the No. 33 entry.

Ogata had two starts with RBR in 2020, racing at Texas Motor Speedway in the spring, and the season finale at Phoenix. He finished 25th and 30th respectively.

The 47-year-old driver will join Lawless Alan, Jesse Iwuji, B.J. Mcleod, and Jason white as drivers to compete for Reaume Brothers Racing in 2021. White recorded the best finish of the RBR organization so far this season with a 20th at the season opener in Daytona.

The annoucement day for Ogata didn’t start off too strong as his seat insert for his truck was apparently delivered to the wrong team Monday morning.

Nevertheless, the seat will be installed in time for his first start of 2021 at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Fr8 Auctions 200. The race is set for Saturday, March 20 at 2:30 PM EST on FOX Sports 1 and the FOX Sports App.
