Gus Dean, who drove the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season-opening race at Daytona last season, will return to do the same for the No. 56 Hill Motorsports team in Friday’s NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona.

Hill Motorsports is a team owned by fellow NASCAR driver Timmy Hill.

“I’m very thankful to be back with Hill Motorsports this weekend at Daytona,” said Dean in a team release.

“Timmy (Hill) and I have been great friends for many years and the opportunity to still be a part of his team in 2021 is fantastic.”

Timmy Hill confirmed to TobyChristie.com, that his team is planning to run the full 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule.

In addition to Dean being behind the wheel, Hill says that he and his brother Tyler Hill will split up 18 of the 22 races, “pretty evenly.”

The team will also leave the two dirt races open for different possibilities as those races draw closer.
