After competing for Niece Motorsports in the first 15 events of the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season, Ty Majeski will not participate in Thursday Night’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond Raceway, according to NASCAR’s team roster portal and the preliminary entry lists released Tuesday Morning.

In 16 NASCAR Truck Series starts, the 26-year-old has earned a total of three top-ten finishes at Charlotte, Homestead and Gateway, notching a career-best eighth-place run at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May, just one week after NASCAR’s National Series returned to competition following a nine-week hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taking over the No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado for Ty Majeski in Thursday’s event at Richmond Raceway, will be 2011 Daytona 500 Champion Trevor Bayne, who made his debut in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series on Sunday at Darlington Raceway, bringing home the Niece Motorsports No. 40 in 27th-place.

TobyChristie.com has reached out to Niece Motorsports for an official statement, but has not received an answer as to why Majeski will not be in the No. 45

(UPDATE 1 – September 11th, 2020): REPORT: Trevor Bayne could finish Truck season with NIECE Motorsports.
