What a difference an hour makes.

In the first practice session for Friday’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season-opening NextEra Energy 250 at Daytona, Johnny Sauter suffered an electrical issue and he was not able to contest a lap in the session.

It was a demoralizing start to NASCAR’s marquee race weekend for the No. 13 team. But they got to work and fixed their electrical issue after practice 1.

Fast foward an hour, and it was Sauter in his No. 13 ThorSport Ford-F150 that was atop the speed charts.

Christian Eckes rounded out the top-five in the practice session.
