It’s been a really rough weekend for John Hunter Nemechek. The driver, who was one of the favorites for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship, was denied entry to the Championship 4 after scrubbing the wall early in Saturday’s race and losing laps.
On Sunday, Nemechek had a fast car and was driving for the suspended Bubba Wallace in the No. 45 23XI Racing entry. On lap 30, things went sideways — literally — for Nemechek.
Nemechek lost control of the No. 45 car on the exit of Turn 2 and spun to the inside of the track. Nemechek would make slight contact with the inside retaining wall.
