AJ Allmendinger and Brandon Brown made contact on lap 109 of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Texas, which set off an eight-car crash. Screengrab from USA Network broadcast.

Man, oh, man. They say everything is bigger in Texas. On lap 109 of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Andy’s Frozen Custard 300, AJ Allmendinger and Brandon Brown proved it as they triggered an incident at the back half of the top-10.

Allmendinger, who was running directly behind Brown made contact, which sent Brown careening into Allmendinger’s Kaulig Racing teammate Landon Cassill. The contact sent Cassill skidding all the way across the track and into the outside wall.

At the end of the carnage, eight cars were swept up in the crash.

Here is video of the incident:

And here is on-board footage from Daniel Hemric, who managed to avoid the crash:

The drivers involved in the incident included Allmendinger, Brown, Cassill, Myatt Snider, Kyle Weatherman, Joey Gase, Ryan Sieg, and Stefan Parsons.
