If Ryan Blaney hopes to advance through the ‘Round of 12’ and continue his pursuit of the NASCAR Cup Series championship, he’ll have to overcome some major adversity.

Jonathan Hassler (crew chief), Zachary Price (rear tire changer), and Graham Stoddard (jackman) have all been handed a four-race suspension by NASCAR, after losing a wheel immediately after a pit stop in Saturday’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

The four-race suspension of the three crew members will take effect for Sunday’s event at Texas Motor Speedway, and will continue through Talladega Superspeedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway’s ROVAL, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Team Penske has yet to officially announce whether or not the organization will be appealing the penalty from NASCAR, or who will be serving as interim crew chief in the event they choose not to appeal.

TobyChristie.com has reached out to Team Penske to see if the organization plans to appeal the penalty, but has yet to receive a response as of the time of publishing.
