Todd Bodine has reached 800-career NASCAR National Series starts, but his milestone 800th start will be one to forget as it came to a crashing end on lap 13 of Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series CRC Brakleen 150 at Pocono Raceway.
Bodine was in the middle of a three-wide battle with Blaine Perkins and Hailie Deegan for 20th spot, when Deegan pinched Bodine in turn 1. The two made contact, which sent Bodine’s No. 62 Halmar Friesen Racing Toyota around.
As Bodine crashed, Tyler Hill and Jack Wood had nowhere to go and collided with Bodine.

Bodine went behind the wall following the crash and he will be credited with a last-place finish in his 800th-career start.
Following a check up in the infield care center, Bodine chalked the incident up to a racing incident and he hinted that he may have to make one more start.
“That’s definitely not how we wanted this to go,” Bodine anguished. “Like I said, I’ve been so blessed to be able do what I love to do for 800 times. Made so many good friends, had so many great people involved in my life. Pretty blessed life I have. But that’s racing. I’ve been here before. I’ve been wrecked before. That’s part of the game. Maybe I’ll need to make it 801, I don’t know.”
