The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is the official start of the 2022 season for the NTT IndyCar Series.

The on-track festivities for North America’s premier open-wheel championship begins later today with opening practice at 3:40-4:25 p.m. ET. The second and final practice commences Saturday morning at 9-9:45 a.m., with qualifying around the 1.8-mile, 14-turn street circuit at 12:30-1:45 p.m. All three sessions will feature coverage on Peacock and the IndyCar Radio Network.

On Sunday, the 100-lap contest featuring a field of 26 drivers will start at noon on NBC, Telemundo and NBC Radio Network.

Listed directly below is a spotter’s guide to find your favorite driver in the crowd and check out the latest liveries for 2022 (with the exception of Will Power, apparently.) And that is followed underneath by the pit assignments for the weekend, which was set on the team’s championship standings from last year.
