Kyle Larson Goes Back-To-Back in Stoops Pursuit at IMS Dirt Track

PC: Walkapedia

Don’t you dare act surprised…..

For the second year in a row, Kyle Larson claimed the victory in the Stoops Pursuit at Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track, holding off Tanner Thorson for the victory.

The victory wasn’t a dominant one by Larson, in fact he didn’t even look poised for the victory until race leader Kyle Cummins spun around in the final segment, eliminating him from the race and handing the lead to Larson, after the NASCAR Cup Series driver started in 16th.

“Yeah, it would have been tough to get by him with the line he was running,” said Larson. “I put a couple of good corners together to track him down a little bit, and then he just over-rotated”

Tanner Thorson, Brady Bacon, Justin Grant, Zeb Wise, Kyle Cummins and JJ Yeley were the seven drivers who started the final segment with a chance at the victory.

Other NASCAR notables included: Chase Briscoe (eighth), Conor Daly (13th), Chase Elliott (24th) and Ryan Newman (26th).
