Chase Elliott Returns to GMS Racing No. 24 at Texas Motor Speedway

Defending NASCAR Cup Series Champion Chase Elliott will return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Texas Motor Speedway, GMS Racing announced on Wednesday Afternoon.

The three-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series winner will step into the No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado at the 1.5-mile facility, with sponsorship from Adrenaline Shoc, a sponsor of Elliott’s No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet in the NASCAR Cup Series.

The 25-year-old will become the third driver to pilot the GMS Racing No. 24 in the last four events, after Ryan Reed (Darlington) and Jack Wood (COTA and Charlotte) made starts in the vehicle after Raphael Lessard was downgraded from his intended full-time status.

 

Elliott’s presence within the five-truck organization could prove to be helpful, as the Dawsonville, Georgia-native’s experience at Texas could be of assistance to teammates Sheldon Creed, Zane Smith, Chase Purdy and Tyler Ankrum.

The organization did not announce additional plans for the truck beyond Texas.
