Report: Brad Keselowski’s Crew Chief Jeremy Bullins to Miss Darlington Due to Team Protocols

Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Team Penske group will be without crew chief Jeremy Bullins for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway as Bullins will sit out as a precaution which falls in line with Team Penske’s protocols.

FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass was first with the report:

As Pockrass reported, on the NASCAR team roster in place of Bullins at crew chief is team engineer Grant Hutchens for this weekend’s race. Hutchens filled in for Bullins at Atlanta earlier in the season while Bullins was serving a suspension for multiple unsecured lug nuts the week before.

In that race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Keselowski started fourth and finished a disappointing 28th — his second-worst finish of the season so far.

Keselowski will roll from the pole on Sunday after he finished third a week ago at Kansas Speedway.

The 37-year old driver has one win this season, which came at Talladega Superspeedway, and he has scored five top-fives and five top-10s. The performance of the No. 2 driver and team have them sitting sixth in the championship standings after 11 races.

Keselowski, the 2012 NASCAR Cup Series champion, finished runner-up in the championship in 2020.
