On Wednesday Afternoon, Sam Hunt Racing announced that Colin Garrett will return to the driver’s seat for the first-time this season at Talladega Superspeedway, piloting the No. 26 RFH Tactical Mobility Toyota Supra.

While not behind the wheel of Sam Hunt Racing’s No. 26 this season, Garrett has served as an interior mechanic for the single-car organization.

Talladega will mark Garrett’s eighth NASCAR Xfinity Series start and his seventh for Sam Hunt Racing, highlighted by a 14th-place result at Homestead-Miami Speedway last June. Over the last two seasons, Garrett has accumulated two top-20s and four top-25 finishes.

Entering the series’ eighth race of the season, Sam Hunt Racing’s No. 26 Toyota Supra currently sits 18th in Xfinity Series Owner Points, the result of six top-20 finishes in the first seven races of the season at the hands of Brandon Gdovic, Kris Wright and Santino Ferrucci.
