Jeff Gordon Reveals He Tested Positive for COVID-19 During Off-Week, Preparing for Saturday’s Cup Race at Martinsville

Four-time NASCAR Cup Serie Champion and FOX Sports Analyst, Jeff Gordon, revealed on Thursday Morning that he has tested positive for COVID-19 over the off-weekend for the NASCAR Cup Series.

“I tested positive for COVID last week, so I’ve been in quarantine” Gordon told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. “but the good news is that it was smooth and I had minimal symptoms and I’m good to go for Martinsville this weekend.”

In speaking with Danielle Trotta and Larry MacReynolds, Gordon mentioned that he was the only one of the four members of his immediate family to test positive, despite receiving his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine about seven days before getting tested.

In the above clip, Gordon mentions that he is preparing to return to the FOX Sports booth for Saturday Night’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Martinsville Speedway.
