On Monday Evening, Beard Motorsports released a statement regarding the passing of team president Mark Beard Sr.

Beard was 72 years old.

In 2017, Beard relaunched Beard Motorsports, returning to competition in NASCAR’s top-three series for the first time since 1991. The organization fielded a part-time entry for Brendan Gaughan in the NASCAR Cup Series, with the Las Vegas-native scoring four top-10 finishes for the organization in 17 starts.

The organization reaffirmed their commitment to fielding the No. 62 Chevrolet Camaro for Noah Gragson in the 2021 DAYTONA 500, but asks that the family’s privacy is respected at this time.

Many will be cheering on Noah Gragson and Beard Motorsports, as they look to pay tribute to the team’s patriarch with a victory in the “Great American Race”.
