“From day one of creating Trackhouse Racing, I wanted our team to be a platform for purpose, to transcend the sport and positively impact all races on and off the track,” said owner Justin Marks. “I am proud that in just a few months we are here announcing a partnership with one of the most influential and recognized artists in the world.  Within the first 10 minutes of our first meeting, it was clear Armando and I share a vision and passion for impacting the lives of the underrepresented. We are creating and compelling a movement of positivity and possibility, using the platform and excitement of sports and music.  Through NASCAR and our partnership with Pitbull, we are going to have the attention of a global demographic that is ready to be inspired into action for themselves, their families and their future.”

Trackhouse is one of the three newest teams to join the NASCAR Cup Series garage in 2021. 23XI Racing, co-owned by Michael Jordan and NASCAR Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin, sent the sports media into a frenzy of excitement and anticipation. LiveFast Motorsports will also join the Cup Series garage, owned by current NASCAR Xfinity Series owner B.J. McLeod, and former Cup Series driver Matt Tifft.

The artist took to Twitter to express his excitement for officially joining the sport as a co-owner.

This past season, Pitbull was spotted working with NASCAR and its broadcast partners on TV and social media content on multiple occasions. Pitbull and Blake Shelton shared the stage in Phoenix earlier this season to record the NASCAR on NBC broadcast introduction which went unused. Shelton’s “Bringing Back the Sunshine” was used for a number of years before “Runnin’ Down a Dream” took over in 2018 with a rendition by ZZ Ward. During the championship race at Phoenix at the end of the 2020 season, Pitbull recorded his own rendition of “I Believe That We Will Win”, which aired multiple times during the race.

Pitbull’s first race as co-owner of his NASCAR Cup Series team will be the 2021 Daytona 500, which goes green on February 14th at 2:30pm EST on FOX and the FOX Sports App.
