2021 NASCAR Xfinity Schedule Released; Martinsville, Darlington, COTA and Nashville Among Noteable Changes

On Friday Afternoon, NASCAR revealed the highly-anticipated 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule, which will begin with “Speedweeks” at Daytona International Speedway, with the series kicking off the season at Daytona International Speedway  on Saturday, February 13th.

For the ninth consecutive season, the NASCAR Xfinity Series will feature a grand total of 33 points paying events, broken down even further into 26 regular season events and seven events in the series’ elimination-style playoff format.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will no longer visit Chicagoland Speedway, Kentucky Speedway or Iowa Speedway, as all three venues have already made it known that they will not be holding a NASCAR National Series event in 2021.

For the first time since 1985, Dover International Speedway will not host two NASCAR Xfinity Series, as the one-mile venue has scaled down to a single race weekend in order to make room for the return of Nashville Superspeedway, which the series will return to for the first time since 2011.

Also scaling down for next season will be Bristol Motor Speedway, as the .533-mile short track will host the NASCAR Cup Series’ first race on the dirt in quite a while. The NASCAR Xfinity Series will visit the track later in the season for the series’ regular-season finale.

Much like the NASCAR Cup Series schedule for next season, Atlanta Motor Speedway and Darlington Raceway will be given a second race weekend for the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2021, with Martinsville Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway also earning a second event for next season.

Circuit of The Americas and Nashville Superspeedway will the series’ only two new venues in 2021, with Indianapolis Motor Speedway electing to use the facility’s road course layout for the track’s NASCAR weekend on August 14th and 15th.

The 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule will be announced at a later date.
