When the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series returns to Bristol Motor Speedway for the series’ playoff-opener on September 17th, NBC Sports analyst Parker Kligerman will return to the series for his sixth event of the 2020 season.

Kligerman will return to the No. 75 Food Country USA Chevrolet Silverado for Henderson Motorsports, the same ride that the 30-year-old has occupied on a part-time basis since 2017. The Westport, Connecticut-native will look to bring team owner Charlie Henderson back to victory lane at Bristol Motor Speedway, a place the team visited in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Rick Wilson in April 1989.

Bristol Motor Speedway – dubbed “The Last Great Colosseum” — has historically been one of Kligerman’s best race tracks, with the series veteran finishing inside the top-10 on four separate occasions at the .533-mile short track, while never finishing worse than 20th-place in six career NASCAR Truck Series starts.

Despite the team’s foray into the NASCAR Truck Series only eight years ago, Henderson Motorsports’ history spans nearly four decades, and includes tenures in all three of NASCAR’s top divisions.

The team began their journey in the NASCAR Cup Series in 1982, participating in the series on a part-time basis before moving the NASCAR Xfinity Series competition in 1985. In the team’s 22-year tenure in the NASCAR Xfinity Series – participating in events as recently as 2007 — Henderson Motorsports has picked up three victories, including the aforementioned victory at Bristol Motor Speedway in 1989.
