Tyler Reddick took his first-career NASCAR Cup Series Stage Win in Stage 1 of Monday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

After wild action in the opening laps of the event, Reddick was out front when rain came at lap 57.

A long red flag took place, but the track was dried and Reddick was able to take the Stage Win under caution.

This gives Reddick a Playoff point as well as 10-regular season bonus points. Coming into the day, Reddick was 17th, just one spot out of the Playoff cutline.

Alex Bowman, Joey Logano, Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch capped out the top-five in Stage 1.

Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch, Chase Elliott and William Byron also scored Stage Points as they ranked sixth thru 10th.

Weather is still in the area. If rain does come back into play, the race has to be past lap 94 in order to be considered an official race.
