Video: Former NASCAR Driver Brad Sweet Takes Scary Tumble Down Backstretch at Lake Ozark Speedway

Brad Sweet (brother-in-law of Kyle Larson and a former NASCAR Xfinity Series driver) has, much like Kasey Kahne, left his NASCAR career behind in order to continue to pursue a dirt career.

Tonight at Lake Ozark Speedway, Brad Sweet’s No. 49 NAPA Auto Parts vehicle got pinned into the outside wall and was sent wildly flipping down the backstretch and into turn No. 3.

Sweet narrowly missed the pit wall opening, before landing hard down in Turn No. 3. Sweet was able to walk away under his own power, and will have to go to a backup car for the rest of the evening.

  1. Like 9 flips? Wow! Lucky to walk away from that. And another wall opening in a bad place on a track. When are they going to abandon that idea?
