The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic that is sweeping the globe has a massive impact on every person, but even more so on the elderly and people with underlying medical conditions. As concern grows with each new confirmed case of the virus, Wood Brothers Racing is doing something incredible to help out.

Around the country, a ton of elderly Americans in nursing homes have been placed on lockdown in an effort to protect them from contracting the virus. This means the elderly are not allowed to have visits from their family members.

What Wood Brothers Racing has begun doing is incredible. The NASCAR Cup Series team, which fields the No. 21 car for Matt DiBendetto, has donated $1,500 to purchase tablets for the elderly who are on lockdown at Landmark Center in Stuart, Virginia so they can have video visitation with their family during this scary time.

The team has already purchased eight tablets for the facility, and are now taking donations through their online store to purchase more. The team even said on Twitter on Sunday, that if they get enough of a response, the program will begin to expand to other senior facilities across the country.

Each $10 donation will come with a signed thank you note from DiBenedetto, Leonard Wood and both current Wood Brothers Eddie and Len Wood.

If you would like to donate to this incredible cause, click here to be redirected to the “Donation” order in the Wood Brothers Racing online store.
