Joey Logano Leads Ford Stranglehold of Leader Board in Final Daytona 500 Practice

Final practice for Sunday’s 62nd-annual NASCAR Cup Series Daytona 500 is in the books. While it wasn’t really a test of who could turn the fastest speed, so much as just making sure everything on the cars were in tip top shape, Joey Logano led a Ford sweep of the top-eight spots.

Logano’s top lap was a 200.520 mph circuit.

Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Clint Bowyer and Cole Custer rounded out the top-five in the session.

For Harvick, it was the first laps turned in his No. 4 Ford Mustang since suffering damage to the right side of his car in a battle for the win on the final lap of Thursday’s Duel.

It seems the team made the repairs perfectly, as the car is still very fast.

Alex Bowman had issues with a static-filled radio during the session. The No. 88 team spent the session trying to figure that out so Bowman has a clear radio on Sunday.
