Brett Moffitt to Drive For Our Motorsports in First Four NASCAR Xfinity Series Races of 2020

It looks like Our Motorsports is looking to make a splash right of the gates with their No. 02 NASCAR Xfinity Series program as they have selected Brett Moffitt to run their car in the first four events of the 2020 season.

The team announced the move to hire the 2018 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Series champion to their team via a press release on Thursday.

“I am really excited about this opportunity with Our Motorsports to get back into the Xfinity Series,” said Moffitt in the release “Chris (Our), Andy (Seuss) and Joe (Williams) have all been working really hard to get this team up and running for the 2020 season. With the support and blessing from Mike (Beam) and Maury (Gallagher) at GMS Racing, it’s going to be a lot of fun getting to race with Our Motorsports for the first four races this year.”

Moffitt joins Joe Williams, who was announced as the crew chief for the team earlier this week.

“I am excited to have Brett Moffitt join Our Motorsports for our debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series,” said Williams. “Brett is a championship winning driver, and has a great track record for performance on track. We’ve put together a great group of guys for the 2020 season, and I’m hopeful for a great run this year.

In the release, the team states that sponsorship for the first four races will be announced at a later date.

Although Moffitt will run these four races, he is committed to chasing his second NASCAR Truck Series championship with GMS Racing in 2020.

Our Motorsports purchased their cars from GMS Racing back in the end of October. GMS shut down their NASCAR Xfinity Series program at the conclusion of 2019.
