Unifirst, which had been a sponsor of the No. 24 machine which is piloted by William Byron, will move to Byron’s Hendrick Motorsports teammate — Chase Elliott — for 2020. Unifirst made the announcement and unveiled the paint scheme for 2020 on Monday.
Unifirst will serve as the primary sponsor on Elliott’s No. 9 car for three NASCAR Cup Series events in 2020.
The first race will be the spring Phoenix event, followed by the All-Star race and their primary schedule will conclude with Las Vegas in the fall.
Elliott officially has every race accounted for in 2020 from a sponsorship standpoint.
In 2019, Elliott won three races — bringing his career NASCAR Cup Series victory total to six — but stalled out in the Round of 8 in the Playoffs.
Elliott has won the NASCAR Most Popular Driver Award in each of the past two seasons.
