Kyle Larson Sports Black and Bloodshot Eye After Latest Dirt Win in New Zealand

On New Year’s Day, Kyle Larson was back at it on the dirt in New Zealand — this time at Huntley International Speedway — In his first event back since his wild flip on Christmas.

Larson would continue his winning ways, as he took the checkered flag in the 40-lap event. Speed Shift TV posted video of the final lap on Twitter:

Following the race, Larson called his win in New Zealand one of the coolest of his career after the tumultuous week he had following a wild crash on Christmas.

When Larson climbed from his race car though, he was sporting quite the black eye. Larson’s eye was also blood-red as well.

Photographer James Selwyn posted a shot of Larson post-race to his photography Facebook page:

The United Truck Parts International Midget Series continues on January 3rd at Western Springs Speedway in New Zealand — the site of Larson’s wild crash a week ago. The Series is a six-race test of drivers. Friday’s event will be the fifth of six in the series.
