Corey LaJoie Officially Announces He’s Back at Go Fas, Looking For New Crew Chief

It’s a done deal.

Corey LaJoie will be back behind the wheel of the No. 32 Ford Mustang for Go Fas Racing in 2020.

The 28-year old driver made the announcement of his one-year deal on a special Tuesday drop of his podcast. In the show LaJoie said, “Breaking news, I’m going to be back in the [No.] 32 car at Go Fas Racing next year.”

“I don’t know if everybody was expecting that, because it took a little while to get done — longer than both sides probably would have liked. Ultimately, I’m super excited to go back,” said LaJoie.

While LaJoie will be back in the No. 32, Randy Cox — who served as crew chief in 2019 for the team — will not return for 2020.

“We are trying to find a crew chief right now,” LaJoie said.

According to LaJoie, the beating of the NASCAR schedule, and the desire to spend time with family led to Cox departing the team.

“The grind just kind of got to him and his kids are getting a little older,” LaJoie said. “I wish all the best to him. He’s been a good friend of mine.”

LaJoie will compete in the Snowball Derby in Pensacola, Florida this weekend in the 52nd-annual edition of the iconic Super Late Model event.
