Greg Biffle ‘Looking Forward to 2020,’ Hints at Comeback on Twitter

Will 2020 be the year of The Biff in NASCAR? I have heard a lot of rumors since the end of 2019, but none of them have — to this point — involved Greg Biffle’s name.

Well, Biffle stirred the pot on Thursday, when he dropped a Tweet, which hints that he could be making a comeback in 2020.

The tweet is a photo of Biffle in Roush Fenway Racing’s No. 16 car during the 2005 season-ending race at Homestead-Miami Speedway — a race that Biffle won.

Biffle captioned the photo by saying, “15 years ago today… seems like it was yesterday!!! Looking forward to 2020.”

The Washington native ran a NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series event at Texas Motor Speedway last June for Kyle Busch Motorsports, and wouldn’t you know the 49-year old won the race. Before that race, Biffle had not run a NASCAR National Series event since the 2016 season.

After his Texas win, Biffle was primed for a run through the Triple Truck Challenge, but a technicality in the eligibility of the contest left him on the sidelines.

Will Biffle return in 2020? And if so, what series will he run? For which team?

That remains to be seen, but Biffle did a masterful job of getting folks minds racing on a Thursday morning.
