Weather Update: Darlington Raceway Track Drying Underway
UPDATE 9:49 PM ET: National Anthem and invocation have been completed and the engines have been fired. Pace laps will begin momentarily for the 2019 Bojangles Southern 500 at Darlington.
Well, it’s been a soggy start to the 2019 Bojangles Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, but at three hours past the scheduled start of the event, things are starting to finally look promising. Track drying is underway, and the speedway has given a tentative time of 9:30 PM ET for the national anthem and invocation.
In just over 30 minutes we could see this race get underway if things keep progressing!
Let’s hope for a dry finish as weather continues to roll in from Hurricane Dorian.
UPDATE: Track drying is progressing well.
